Just discovered this beauty of a song...Was rel. in 1979. I don't really recall it being played on Winnipeg radio at the time, or ever, for that matter.

All I did was to type into Youtube "baby brothers" and I got this.

A Boy Called Dad (Full length film)

A 14 yo. boy has intercourse with a teenage woman. They conceive a boy, and name him Elliot.

The girl takes care of baby Elliot. Then the boy shoots her new boyfriend and takes Elliot.

At first the baby is crying and the boy doesn't know how to stop him from doing so, but later the boy learns, through a paternal instinct, to care for Elliot. And he is quite capable of doing so.

The film was done in the Welsh language, so in parts it can be quite difficult to understand the conversations.

This film shows that boys/men are capable of looking after infants/babies on their own, if they're given the leeway to do so.

In the whole, it is not just the mother's responsibility or being allowed to look after their offspring, but also the Dad's too.

There is just something inherently wrong with society still, not fully healed but moving forward a bit, in bringing back the Dad's, which is essential, to look after, nurture their kids.
